Atlanta-based Salesloft names new chief financial officer to lead AI-driven company
Chris Nagy Salesloft

One of Atlanta’s most successful SaaS ventures has named a new CFO.

Salesloft, the sales automation platform founded in 2011 by David Cummings, Kyle Porter, Rob Forman, and Tim Dorr, recently announced that Christopher Nagy is joining the team as its chief financial officer.

Nagy brings over twenty-five years of experience to the SaaS world, most recently serving as the CFO of IPC Systems, Inc.

Nagy is joining the team at a critical time for the company. Salesloft, an early adopter of AI technologies in the SalesTech place, acquired conversational AI platform Drift earlier this year. David Obrand, who has served as the CEO of Salesloft since 2023, told Hypepotamus that the company is “well-positioned to scale further,” and Nagy’s appointment is part of Salesloft’s strategy to bring on talent with an “ideal blend of experience and expertise in scaling organizations that surpass the billion-dollar revenue threshold.”

“With over 25 years of leadership experience in private equity-backed technology companies, including his most recent role as CFO of IPC Systems, Inc., Christopher Nagy is the right person for the CFO role at Salesloft as we scale,” Obrand added. “In his roles at Forsta, FocusVision, Vela Trading Technologies, and BlackRock, he successfully drove growth through IPOs, strategic exits, mergers and acquisitions, and high-profile transactions. This extensive track record of leading organizations through pivotal moments is exactly the kind of expertise Salesloft needs for the company's next phase of growth.”

Salesloft’s Next Move

Vista Equity Partners acquired a majority stake in Salesloft at the end of 2021, valuing the company at $2.3 billion. To date, customers include Google, 3M, IBM, Shopify, Square, and Cisco, who use Salesloft’s Revenue Orchestration Platform.

Since he is running an established SaaS company, we wanted to ask Obrand what is top of mind for the Salesloft executive team as we enter the last part of 2024.

He said that “our top priority is empowering our employees, customers, and partners with the tools they need to drive sustained progress. By continuously innovating our industry-leading Revenue Orchestration Platform and enabling market-facing teams to act first on what matters most, we are helping customers improve their revenue outcomes while simultaneously driving greater revenue predictability and consistency into their business. We have some of the largest and most well-respected companies in the world standardized on our platform, and the value customers extract from their use of our platform is how we measure our success.”
