How'd You Get The Idea For It:
One evening, after our children had gone to bed, my husband and I were brainstorming different business ideas. I mentioned my passion for shopping local, and told him about various "monthly subscription box" companies I had been reading about. I recommended we come up with a monthly subscription/gift box company which would help promote local Georgia artisans and the concept of shopping local. That was in mid-May and our website was launched on September 3rd.

Where do you gain your insights from and how do you stay on top of emerging trends?
I am constantly reading articles in magazines such as Inc.com and Entrepreneur, and also follow many "subscription blogs" to learn more about other subscription companies which are out on the market.

What's Unique About Your Company Culture:
So far, Georgia Crafted is the only monthly subscription/gift box company which promotes local Georgia artisans.
