Atlanta-based myphysician360, a pharmacy startup providing virtual urgent and primary care, has a new chief executive.

Elizabeth Halkos, a veteran of the Atlanta tech community, has been tapped as the company’s new CEO, as the HealthTech company looks to expand on its mission of bringing “care closer to home.”

Halkos’ career has focused on scaling “purpose-driven B2B e-commerce and healthcare businesses,” she told Hypepotamus.

Halkos previously held COO roles at Atlanta-based companies Vivlio Health, SmartCommerce, and Purchasing Power. She also was the Chief Commercial Officer at Fullscript, a venture and private equity-backed company headquartered in Canada. She has been part of four successful exit.

Halkos told Hypepotamus that her time building and scaling companies helped shape her move into the CEO seat.

“I’ve spent my career building and scaling organizations from the ground up, so I understand not only how to set strategy but how to operationalize it in real time,” she said. “Leading operations, sales, marketing, and customer success has given me a deep understanding of what it takes to acquire customers, deliver an exceptional experience, and build a sustainable business model, especially in health tech.”

A Look Ahead

Myphysician360 (which rebranded from Physician 360 in 2024) operates in all 50 states. It is supported by a medical group of board-certified internal medicine clinicians, who provide on-demand care services every day of the year.

The company’s lead investor is Atlanta-based Valor Ventures, who introduced Halkos to the CEO opportunity at myphysicial360.

Looking ahead to 2026, Halkos said a key focus area for the company is strengthening the company’s commercial strategy.

“I’ve spent years building go-to-market strategies and scaling customer acquisition in early-stage environments, and I know how to create a repeatable, efficient growth motion that can sustain the business long-term.”

On the agenda: Deepening relationships with local pharmacies and moving beyond its self-pay platform by starting to integrate with insurance.

“It’s also essential that our platform scales to further our mission of expanding care in underserved markets. In Georgia alone, 3.3 million residents live in areas experiencing a shortage of primary care doctors, and the state is projected to face a shortage of nearly 8,000 physicians in the next few years. Our technology is part of the solution,” Halkos added. “Our model is designed to expand access and eliminate geographic barriers. By working directly with community pharmacies, particularly in rural and underserved areas, we’re able to bring convenient, high-quality care directly into the neighborhoods that need it most.”
