Michael Gurliacco Brings the History of Standup Comedy to Life
Michael Gurliacco just completed the Web Development Immersive course at General Assembly and has a lot to show for it. He's an up-and-coming javascript ninja on the rise looking for a startup where he can put his creativity in front-end development and design to good use. Check out some of his experience, including his contribution to the standup comedy world, and keep him in mind when searching for new local tech talent.
What past tech projects have you worked on?
I've completed four web development projects: Drinking Buddy (a searchable cocktail library), Doctor Zorders (personalized health care recommendations), chariot (mobile-first app that finds you free rides), and elevATE (an app that tells the story of our changing city). Check out some of my work.
What are your best technical or creative skills?
I love HTML5, CSS3, and JavaScript (especially AngularJS).
What’s next on your list to learn?
I want to become a JavaScript Ninja, then move on to Swift.
What’s your ideal internship/job?
I'm looking for a role that utilizes my creativity in front-end development and design.
Interested in startups?
I'm VERY interested in startups. I enjoy wearing many different hats and think the startup environment could be a perfect fit.
Post graduation plans?
I'm currently working on a sweetass site that will take you on a multimedia journey through the history of stand-up comedy (I'm a huge fan).
