What is your current role?
Community Strategist. My focus will be connecting with the Atlanta community by producing quality original content, participating in events, and building relationships with key organizations.

How does MotionMobs cater to startups?
We love start-ups. We understand how hard it is to wear multiple hats, all of the time. Our team is dedicated to building user-friendly software products that produce measurable business results. For start-ups, especially, sales is oxygen. Producing new revenue sources for funded start-ups can make a tremendous difference in their company quickly. We want to be a part of that process-- from concept to execution to support. Our process starts with good planning.

What other startup/tech projects have you worked on?
While I am relatively new in the startup/tech space, I am familiar with the spirit of entrepreneurship and innovation from my secondary life as an independent filmmaker. I also come from multiple generations of entrepreneurs on my dad's side of the family.

What tech/tools are essential to you?
My favorite apps/tools to use at work are HipChat, Switch, Buffer, MailChimp, Squarespace, and Google Drive.

How do you stay informed & on top of emerging trends?
I read technology and startup news every morning, I keep Twitter open on my desktop, and I stay tuned to what our development team is talking about.

What are your best technical or creative skills?
My creative skills are vast since I have a background in graphic design and film. My technical abilities come from a place of big picture visualization and breaking down a project's specific needs.

What’s next on your list to learn?
Always a good question! For now, I'm content with our new expansion into Atlanta and learning about other people and how companies use technology to grow their business operating within our space. As a general rule though, I love to explore and jump into new adventures.

Why the interest in startups and the technology field?
MotionMobs began by focusing on native mobile development, but expanded a few years ago to include consulting and web application development. Now, we're a full service, mobile-first technology firm that helps companies determine the biggest opportunities software can provide on their bottom line. Startups really care about their bottom line, and we love that.

Consulting with startups has become a really rewarding and enjoyable part of our business. All marketing campaigns must start with a good plan, and software is not different. Consulting, especially with funded start-ups, helps set specific goals and metrics to achieve. Once everyone knows where the goal post is, we can deep dive into user-focused design and development.
