Gwinnett Startups, There's a Biz Plan Comp for You
The Amazing Entrepreneur Business Plan Competition is an initiative by Gwinnett Chamber Economic Development and The University of Georgia Small Business Development Center (SBDC) to foster new business development in Gwinnett County. Contestants enter their small business plan summaries for an opportunity to win big prizes to support their startup. Spring 2015 will host the 5th annual Amazing Entrepreneur Contest.
Here's the scoop:
- This competition recognizes the best business plan summary in two separate categories: Established Business and Pre-Venture
- An award of over $17,000 in cash/prizes will be given to a Gwinnett County startup.
- Grand Prize Winner receives a $10,000 cash award, consultation with Arnall Golden Gregory, a one-year Gwinnett Chamber membership, passes to attend the Chamber’s Small Business, and a scholarship to the SBDC Grow Smart program, among other prizes.
- Entries opened on November 13th & the competition closes on February 20th.
- On January 15, 2015 there will be a Constant Contact seminar, followed by a SCORE Business Plan class.
- Finalists will be invited to the Pinnacle Awards, where both category winners are announced (exact date will be finalized after the first of the year).
Applications will accepted through Feb. 20, 2015. Winners will be announced during the Gwinnett Chamber’s Pinnacle Small Business Awards in April.
