New GA Class Announced
Hypepotamus is excited to welcome global educational institution General Assembly (GA) to Atlanta. Last week we let you know all about how we are working together to bring you a fresh curriculum of classes to Atlanta.
To kick off the series
we have put together a presentation of Atlanta's start up ecosystem and landed the one-and-only James Harris of N4MD to teach it. Check it out at Atlanta Tech Village on April 10th and then come on down to Hypepotamus later in the month to learn how to: pitch to venture firms, bring your ecommerce idea to concept, and growth hack with the best of em'. Intro to the Atlanta Startup Community
This free class is an orientation to help newcomers to the startup scene get acquainted with the exciting world of tech in Atlanta. We will give you the inside scoop on key events/meetups to attend, people, companies, VCs, blogs, incubators, programs, hot issues, and more. REGISTER
April 22nd, 6:30 PM – 9:00 PM- How To Pitch Your Startup to Venture Firms
Blake Patton will cover preparation for the pitch session, building and designing a compelling deck, following up after the meeting and more. Takeaways include: What should I look for in an investor? How do I connect with investors? What’s the process a VC uses to evaluate an investment? What does an investor look for in a deal? How should I prepare for a pitch session with a VC? April 23rd, 6:30 PM – 8:00 PM- Bringing Your Ecommerce Idea to Concept
This class will introduce you to the necessary ingredients in starting an e-commerce business, including generating, validating, and refining ideas for a new product. We’ll cover the development from idea generation, opportunity, recognition, entry strategy, and growth to get you on the path to a successful launch. Takeaways include: Learn how to conduct effective research and fully develop your product & understand the basic process and tools to test your hypothesis and build your site. REGISTER
April 29th, 6:30 PM – 9:30 PM- Growth Hacking For Startups
In this workshop,taught by Roger Lopez, you’ll not only learn about growth hacking and the methods that come with it, you’ll also be able to start applying new strategies to significantly increase your customer base. Takeaways include: Clearly define the term “growth hacking” and learn how companies are currently applying it to increase your user base, create a growth hack strategy in order to optimize an existing product / company’s conversion funnel, present your growth hack strategies and defend your decisions, understand viral campaigns, A/B testing and how to identify your most valuable acquisition channels.
