Fulcrum Equity Partners, one of Atlanta’s largest and most active growth equity firms, is adding to its investing team.

Junior Gaspard has been named as Fulcrum's latest Principal, according to a statement released last week.

Gaspard is no stranger to the Atlanta tech and startup ecosystem. He was an early employee at Silverpop (acquired by IBM), was VP of Sales at Atlanta-based Scoutmob, and rose to be CEO at Experience LLC (acquired by Cox Enterprises).

He began angel investing in 2016 before moving into venture capital in 2023 when he joined Engage and Tech Square Ventures as an Entrepreneur-in-residence and Head of Startup Growth.  Gaspard said working with Engage and Tech Square Ventures was an “incredible adventure” and credits his time there with giving him the “hands-on, practical” experience needed to be a successful investor.

Gaspard said he connected with the Fulcrum team over the years while working throughout the Atlanta tech ecosystem. He told Hypepotamus that he was drawn to the firm’s track record in the healthcare services and B2B software industries. But importantly, he said he was excited to join a firm that is “committed to being part of the community and the Atlanta tech ecosystem,” which he said has been a “transformative force” in his life.

"We are delighted to welcome Junior to our team," added Frank X. Dalton, Co-Founder & Partner at Fulcrum Equity Partners. "Junior's extensive experience and proven track record in scaling companies makes him a perfect fit for our firm. We place a strong emphasis on surrounding ourselves and our companies with individuals of the highest caliber, and Junior's addition reinforces this commitment."
