Vulcan Elements, a Durham-based startup manufacturing rare-earth magnets, says it plans to hire around 1,000 workers at a new $1 billion factory in the town of Benson in Johnston County, per Axios. The company raised a $65 million Series A earlier this year.

Salesforce, Inc. announced it will invest $15 million to expand its Georgia presence, creating over 250 new jobs in Fulton County by the end of 2028. More details here.

Alpharetta, Georgia-based FUSMobile, Inc. announce it received De Novo marketing authorization (DEN250015) clearance from the FDA to begin marketing and sales of the Neurolyser XR system, a device that uses high-intensity focused ultrasound (HIFU)

The Center for Entrepreneurial Development (CED),North Carolina's longest-standing network supporting high-growth entrepreneurs, announced Alex Bloom will take over as its next CEO, effective January 1, 2026. Bloom is a three-time startup CEO and takes over from Kelly Rowell. Full press release here.
