The Scoop on Start-Up Chile:

• It is a program from the Chilean Government that seeks to attract early-stage, high-potential entrepreneurs to start their business using Chile as a platform to go global.
• Over 800 startups from +65 countries (past GA participants include GirlTank and Solar Sanitation).
• $40K in equity-free funding + 1 year visa + Chilean cultural experience & Latin American market access.
• About 100 of their startups have raised money: in total, 50 million US dollars from private capital & 8 of their companies have been acquired by bigger corporations. They have created more than 1000 job positions.
