Endevvr: Teaching Entrepreneurship to High School Kids
June 21- July 26 at Georgia Tech
The Scoop:
- Endevvr (@endevvr) is a non-profit/business incubator designed to help high school students start actual companies.
- Mary Winn Miller is the president and co-founder (with her husband). She is an Engagement Manager at McKinsey and Co.
- In 2013, they hosted their first pilot program in Boston (215 applications for 30 spots).
- Program curriculum: Students begin by identifying compelling problems and uncovering unmet needs. Then they design business models for their companies and look at their problem from multiple angles (finding several solutions that can be pursued and tested). With a focus on leadership and teamwork, the teams complete the program by pitching their startup to investors with real money at stake.
