Over 50 Emory University students are spending this next academic year not only hitting the textbooks, but also building up new companies and ventures.

Those founders and co-founders, working on 26 new companies, are part of the 2025-26 Hatchery Incubator, a startup program serving Emory students across academic programs. That means it is not just business or computer science students building new ventures. This year’s cohort includes a mix of undergraduate and graduate students in Emory’s medical, public health and liberal arts programs.

The program, which runs from September to April 2026, provides mentoring support to founders building everything from healthcare, SaaS, AI, education, finance, e-commerce, the Arts, agriculture, to cybersecurity ventures.

You can meet the new cohort here.

This year’s Hatchery cohort received 126 applications from 8 of the 9 schools at Emory, doubling the applications they saw last year. To date, The Hatchery has supposed over 280 student-led startups which have gone onto raise $9.9 million in venture capital funding.
