The Inspiration:
When I was in kindergarten, the principal called my mother, to address my unwillingness to remove my jacket. This issue had been developing over two weeks. To my mother’s surprise, I had been refusing to remove my jacket because I did not like the outfits she had chosen for me to wear. From that point on my mother never selected another outfit for me. From this early age, I have had a conscious awareness of fashion. I have explored every trend imaginable, from street wear to punk to prep. Dressing in a particular style, for me, was never an attempt to assimilate or fit in. It was the learning process in discovering the uniqueness and parameters within each style. My goal was to understand how to mix elements of different styles to develop an individual look. My curiosity for fashion has never faltered; it has only continued to intensify. As for staying ahead of trends, I am producing a product that is more timeless than trendy.
