At this NEX Labs’ monthly business plan review Ric Geyer will be presenting on Val-Kill, a furniture company started almost 90 years ago by former First Lady Eleanor Roosevelt. Val-Kill Industries actually served as a precursor to Franklin D. Roosevelt’s New Deal by way of being an inspiration and a model. Today, Ric, in conjunction with the Eleanor Roosevelt Center at Val-Kill in Hyde Park New York, are rejuvenating the company, doing the same thing; creating furniture & accessories while employing the “unemployable” to build lives as they build furniture.
Come at 6:00 pm to have a drink and meet people. The presentation starts at 6:30. The company will share it's history and plan for moving forward. At the conclusion, they will ask a question - something in their plan where they need help.
As always, If you would like to apply to present at Burning Plan, please email michelle.morgan@nexatlanta.com. You will need to submit a pitch deck or 2 minute video, financial projections and an executive summary or project summary.
