The Innovation Delivery Team of the Mayor’s Office  is hosting a pilot program available to technology start-up companies that have not yet filed for their City of Atlanta business license.

Testing this express licensing process will help make business licensing within the City of Atlanta easier and more accessible to first-time business owners. In this pilot, customers will work with City business consultants to both prepare and submit their business license applications. The goal is to speed up licensing and get businesses in and out City Hall within an hour. The success of this pilot will help inform an on-going effort to simplify all licensing within the City. More information.

CAN I PARTICIPATE?
The pilot of the Express Licensing Solution will be available to technology start-ups who have not yet registered for their business license. Eligible customers must also be located within a commercial zone. Sign up.

WHAT CAN I EXPECT?
You will interact with a Business Licensing Consultant who will help you with your application and prepare you for your visit to City Hall via email/phone. Once your application is complete, the Business Licensing Consultant will have it pre-processed by the Office of Revenue and the Office of Buildings, Zoning Enforcement Division. You will then come in to City Hall on Monday, February 24th to obtain your final approvals and walk out with a business license.
