Super Smash Brothers & Mortal Kombat Tournament in Athens

It's time to channel your inner gamer and put your skills to the test. Compete with friends, win prizes and, most importantly, win bragging rights. Now is your chance to battle head-to-head with some of the best gaming college students from Atlanta and Athens at Collegiate Gaming LAN's League of Legends tournament.

This day-long League of Legends tournament will include Super Smash Brothers Melee and Super Smash 4 in the afternoon and FIFA 14 in the night. All games will be free play throughout the day, and you'll enjoy plenty of giveaways, raffles, tournaments, food and music.

Entry fee will be $15 and allows players to participate in all activities. Register today.

The CGL Mission:
For years, gamers have had a cultural stigma about them; gamers were considered a fringe culture by many, but today they are out in full force. Collegiate Gamers LAN seeks to recreate the LAN experience through networking, social interaction, and collegiate competition with some of today’s top video games. The CGL team offers a safe and fun environment to come get your inner gamer on, compete with friends and obtain prizes and bragging rights. CGL believes that with this new concept, they'll be able to create an exciting and fresh experience for gamers around the world.

The CGL team values all fellow participant gamers because they want to create a community through CGL. They want all gamers to feel welcome and to be a part of the gaming community that they are trying to uphold. Bringing together gamers as one unit is CGL's main purpose because they want to have a culture that does not shy away from this perception that gamers are “lame.” CGL values their fellow gamers and they want them to feel like they're as appreciated and as "cool" as everyone else!
