What Customers Get:
Customers get exactly what they want- literally! Through our site, you are able to custom build a scarf to fit your style and preferences while knowing that you made a conscientious fashion decision. By purchasing a scarf, you are empowering a young girl in Ghana by contributing towards her tuition to receive a secondary education.

How'd You Get The Idea For It:
Michelle, co-founder, went on a study abroad trip to Ghana during college to study the textiles and culture of the country. While there she also had the opportunity to visit community programs that help young girls in the region. When she shared her experiences with Sasha, cofounder, she too was so inspired by the story that they decided to come together and merge both fashion and the mission to empower young women around the world. We wanted to give back in a meaningful way so we decided to start something inspired by the culture while building back into it through supporting the girls through school.

Collaboration Tools & Processes Do You Use:
Consistent communication is imperative for us. Our biggest tool is the good ole fashion phone calls and other programs that we’ve used a lot are Google Docs, Dropbox and Group Me. In terms of process, the good thing is that we’re also best friends so the conversations sometimes start in business mode then end in friend mode or vice versa, but that’s what makes it all fun. We have structured meetings and unstructured meetings which keeps us focused while still leaves an open line of communication where if you get a random thought about something at 2 am, we just send a quick text about it.
