Right now in Atlanta, you can take a robotaxi like Waymo to work or decompress after a long day with a robotics massage In Midtown, dinner can be brought to your front door by a delivery robot. And in the metro area, you can even get your next Walmart delivery ordered via robotic technology in the sky.

It is hard to overstate just how quickly enterprise-level robotics and autonomous technology companies have integrated into our day-to-day lives in over just the last year.

But those consumer-facing robots only tell part of Atlanta’s robotics story. Robotic automation companies like Mujin, Dematic, Exotec, Intuitive Robotics, and ABB Robotics have large presences in the Metro area, employing hundreds of robotic engineering talent.

Then, there are the locally-grown robotics startups.

There are established venture-backed players like GreyOrange and SoftWear Automations. Now, a new crop of robotics startups are coming online, creating technology set to impact how we live and work. Many got their start inside Georgia Tech’s makerspace. Some are scaling at ATDC in Midtown. Others are deploying their unique robotics technology at Curiosity Labs in Peachtree Corners, or are building up the community through RoboGeorgia or the Hardware Happy Hours taking place at ATV and the Biltmore.

We’ve rounded up a few startups that you should know:
