Atlanta HealthTech Fixture Rimidi Gets Acquired
Rimidi, the Atlanta-based HealthTech platform that provides chronic disease management and remote monitoring, has been acquired by New Jersey-based Health Recovery Solutions (HRS).
Founded by Lucienne Ide, Rimidi got off the ground in Atlanta in 2012 and has been a consistent part of the Atlanta HealthTech ecosystem since.
HRS, also founded in 2012, has delivered proven clinical outcomes to more than one million patients and financial outcomes for hundreds of healthcare organizations across North America, according to a press release. Health systems need platforms that manage multiple chronic conditions under one system, something that HBS looks to accomplish by integrating in Rimidi’s cardiometabolic and diabetes expertise and advanced clinical decision support capabilities.
“Our goal has always been to have the largest impact we can on patient care and outcomes. It only made sense at this point to join forces with another organization who shares that objective in order to continue to scale our impact,” Ide told Hypepotamus, adding that together the company’s create a “solution to take care of patients across the entire patient journey.”

RIMIDI OVER THE YEARS
Hypepotamus first covered Rimidi in 2018 after raising it $6.5 million funding round from lead investor Eli Lilly. The company raised a total of $12.9 million, according to Crunchbase.
During the height of COVID, Rimidi partnered with the Boston Medical Center to help manage high-risk pregnancies.
Doctor-turned-entrepreneur Ide has certainly seen the HealthTech world evolve over the last 14 years in business. She told Hypepotamus that she realized the company hit product-market fit when “our existing customers started asking us what more we could do for them and really pushing us on product expansion.”
WHAT’S NEXT
Financials of the acquisition were not disclosed, but Ide will be joining HRS as Chief Medical Officer. The majority of Rimidi’s Atlanta-based team will also be joining HRS, according to Ide.
