During the weekend prior to and following Global Entrepreneurship Week, hundreds of Startup Weekend events were hosted around the world. The winning teams from each event have moved forward to compete with one another in a Global Startup Battle video competition.

Coke hosted Atlanta's Startup Weekend Nov 21st - 23rd and an ATL startup is currently runner up for the regional top spot. Today is the last day to vote them into the next round of battle. How awesome would it be for an ATL startup idea to win globally?! Let's get them there.

Attendalytics Pitched by Lance Gleason (@lgleasain) and Nathan Settembrini (@natebrini), Attendalytics is like google analytics for trade shows, combining location data with anonymized demographics to provide actionable insights to conference organizers. More on the company from the horse's mouth: Conference organizers want to create a fantastic experience for attendees. To pull that off, they need exhibitors with engaging displays, speakers who can draw a crowd, and breakouts on topics people care about. They also need a venue with a cool vibe, vendors the attendees will remember, and a budget bolstered by flashy sponsors (cha-ching). With all these moving parts and mobs of people milling about, how could even the best conference planner accurately assess what worked, and what didn’t? We interviewed experienced conference organizers and found most of their decisions are actually based on instinct or anecdote. Based on feeling, not fact. But they want real data! *Introducing Attendalytics.* Think Google-ish analytics for conference attendees; we combine movement data with anonymized demographics. Simply place a bluetooth beacon in each person's badge, and an array of sensors throughout the venue will measure the traffic flow. During Startup Weekend, we built a working proof of concept, complete with end-to-end infrastructure, data processing, and heat map visualization. Our solution provides tangible benefits to the entire conference ecosystem. Clear insights provided by our reporting package can help improve the overall conference experience, increase sponsorship, and grow revenue for the conference. In the 14 billion dollar U.S. conference market, there are over 60,000 large conferences per year. If we just scratch the surface in Atlanta we can be profitable in a year! We already have a few pilot customers lined up. We have an amazing, well-rounded team ready to meet this market demand. If you are looking to make better decisions backed by motion data analytics, please reach out to us. (P.S. We are also open to exploring alternate uses for our technology!)
