A city with a strong local food economy is a resilient city.Cities and companies around the world are recognizing the growing demand for local food coupled with an ever growing urban population. Urban agriculture can drive food access, economic development, as well as social, environmental, and health benefits.

Organized by Agritecture and hosted by the City of Atlanta’s Office of Resilience, AgLanta Conference is a dynamic urban agriculture conference that aims to showcase urban and controlled environment agriculture innovation, foster community engagement, and generate economic development.

This year’s theme is "Smart Ag for Smart Cities". AgLanta will feature workshops and panels covering a range of critical Smart City topics — each with a particular focus on the role Smart Agriculture will play in making cities more efficient, resilient, and sustainable. Keynotes include Otis Rolley, North America Regional Director of 100 Resilient Cities, and Vonnie Estes, an agriculture innovation leader and winner of the Rosalind Franklin Award for Biotechnology.
